About Jana

I was born and raised in the Merrimack Valley, and I am proud to call Methuen home.  My husband Dave and I are happy to raise our daughters in this strong community, and to have them attending schools with such amazing potential.

Growing up, my family focused on traditional family values: work hard, respect others, show compassion, and act for the greater good. We talked about things like honesty, faith, patriotism, and loyalty.  When I met Dave, he shared these values and we try each day to pass these principles along to our girls.  We are happy to be among neighbors that share our strong commitment to family and community.

I believe in the public school system.  I attended Haverhill public schools before graduating from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.   With my public school foundation, I was able to go on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from New England School of Law.

I’ve demonstrated a commitment to public service throughout my career.  First, by taking a job serving the Justices of the Superior Court, then by serving as an Assistant District Attorney where I worked each day to make our communities safe.  As soon as my children entered school, I was eager to get involved and began working with the Timony PTO.  My role on the PTO has grown over the years, and I’ve enjoyed working with students, teachers, and parents.  I also spent several years as a School Council Member, and then last Fall I had the opportunity to join the School Committee.

I am committed to serving you and our students.  My goals for educational excellence include fostering parent/teacher partnerships, transparency, and community engagement.  I take pride in being responsive and available to parents, and I always have the best interests of students and taxpayers in mind.

I respectfully ask for one of your votes on November 3rd.
